The Monmouth Apple Festival - It's "Appealing!" (Unstoppable Woman - Day 16)
It's almost time for the annual Monmouth Apple Festival! This festival is held annually in Monmouth to celebrate how closely Monmouth's history is tied to apples. This year the festival will be on Saturday, September 25th. The Monmouth Apple Festival is a family day that begins with the 2nd Annual Apple Fest 5K at 8:00 am. This run/walk race is hosted by The Friends of Cumston Hall and does a loop through the streets of Monmouth, beginning and ending at Cumston Hall. The Monmouth Museum will be open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. There will be apple exhibits, music, wagon rides, and of course plenty of apples to buy and eat! Monmouth's own Chick's Orchard will be open. Bobbie Bowler, author of the book Monmouth from the Images of America series from Arcadia Publishing, will be on hand for book signings. The day-long celebration ends with a production of The Pirates of Penzance,The Theater at Monmouth's fall show. It should be a great day!
