This Is Not A Good Time To Sell. IS IT?
If I had a dollar for everytime that I have heard this lately.
The line of questioning that should follow this statement (from every Realtor) should be along these lines.
- When is the best time to sell?
The best time to sell is when a qualified buyer comes along and seeks to purchase your home.
That buyer will not come if you are not in the game, you've gotta be listed ... period!
- But there are fewer buyers during this time or that time, are there not?
Fewer buyers ... Yes! and typically fewer properties being offered!
So, perhaps an equal chance to sell in either market if you are truly trying to sell.
- How many buyers do you need for your home?
The answer is always ONE, the actual person that does the deal.
Again! If you are not listed, then you are not in the game.
It is so easy to play the, "My Home Won't Sell Game." So why do it. Find what will get it sold an do that thing.
I firmly believe that there are very few times that are not good for selling real estate. Such as:
- That lava coming down the street is not a new heat source.
- That personnel carrier on your lawn is not neo-home security.
- 12 feet of snow in the last 24 hrs ... probably not ideal.
- Yellow tape around the house.
But then again maybe even these events can be turned into buying/selling opportunities.
I think it comes down to a motivated seller and a motivated agent that can work alongside that motivated seller to create a great homeselling team.
