Well, rooting for the Doghairs (Dodgers) was a waste. Giants whupped them last night 10-2 and took over first place in the National League West. Padres also lost to the Cardinals, so the Pads are now .5 game behind the Giants.

Giants are playing the Brewers for the next three games - go Brewers! You have power hitters and no pitching - swing those bats and give your pitchers lots of run support.

Our 9 year old son is a St Louis Cardinals fan - he is having a great time teasing me about the Cards beating the Padres last night. Even bet me ten baseball cards the Padres will lose tonight. One bet I'll be glad to lose.

Sure is a fun time of the year as the National League West Division race wind down. Let's go Padres and Rockies.

And their conductor left them mid-season, although for a good reason. I spent some time in South Bend and used to go up to Wrigley for games. A great place to watch baseball. And lots of fun after the game too in the neighborhood.

Mario,

Bad day yesterday for the teams I root for - Padres lose, Giants win and the Rox gave a game away to the Doghairs. All 3 still w/in 1.5 games.

Fri the Giants start a 3 game series with the Rockies in Colorado while Pdres have Dodgers at Petco.

Got to like the race though no matter the results. Rather have it close than one with no suspense.
