The Community Services Agency (CSA) in Reno, Nevada has a program in place to help those eligible home owners (and renters) reduce energy bills and save money.
The CSA Weatherization Assistance Program helps income-eligible households manage the increasingly high cost of energy. Weatherization work is performed on Reno and Sparks homes to help residents stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter!
The Weatherization services are FREE to eligible families in Washoe County. This program is designed to save homeowners money, keep them warm while saving engergy at the same time. Reno loves any opportunity to go green!!!
Am I eligible?
You may qualify if you rent or own a home in Washoe County. To be eligible you may live in a single-family home, multi-family housing complex or manufactured home. All you need to do is apply for assistance to find out if you qualify to receive the free weatherization on your home.
If you annual income falls between, approximately, $21,500 to $75,000 and have a family size of 1 to 8 members living with you, you may be eligible for this program. Different edibility rules apply so it is best to contact the Community Services Agency directly. Once you have contacted their office, you will be asked to fill out a Weatherization Assistance Program packet.
