As you enter The Woodlands townhouse and home complex, you begin to feel a sense of serenity and peacefulness that is so desirable. Home sweet home awaits you!
There are many amenities in The Woodlands. There is a baseball/soccer field, a pool, a clubhouse with a kitchen and fitness center and there are tennis courts.
In addition to these amenities, the grounds are kept exquisitely, with lush greenery, beautiful ornamental trees, and colorful perennials and annuals.
There is a babbling stream behind some of the townhomes, and there is such a sense of tranquility as you listen to the water flowing by, while relaxing on your large patio.
Other units overlook a golf course.
Still other townhouses in The Woodlands townhouse complex enjoy scenic mountain views.
Townhouses in this complex have square footage between 1555 sqare feet and over 3000 square feet. There are a number of models, and many have an open floor plan, with 2 story entrance ways. The Cambridge model has a spacious master bedroom suite on the first floor and 2 additional bedrooms on the second floor. This model lends itself to people who want to live in a luxury setting, but who do not want to climb many steps to their bedroom. Many of the units have fully finished basements that are walk-out, to ground level. This feature creates the feeling of living in a colonial home.
The kitchens in these townhouses often have granite or corian countertops, stainless steel or other high end appliances, and elegant cabinetry. Many of the units have cozy fireplaces. In some cases, the fireplace is two-sided, and faces both the family room and the living room and you can see the fireplace while cooking, since the kitchen is open to the family room.
These stunning townhouses have windows that allow a great deal of sunlight in, making the units feel cheerful and bright.
Each townhouse has either a spacious deck or a large patio, to allow for enjoyable entertaining. Some of the units have both.
At this time, there are 7 luxury townhouses that are 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath units on the market in The Woodlands at Tuxedo. These units range in price from $429,900 to $565,000. There is also one 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath unit for sale now, listed at $469,900.
Three townhouses sold in The Woodlands from January, 2010 until the time of the writing of this article. One 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit sold for $415,000, another 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit sold for $416,000 and a third 2 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse sold for $465,000.
In addition to the luxury townhouses in The Woodlands, there are luxury homes that were built between 1998 and 2003.
These homes are elegant colonials and they range in size from 2888 square feet to 3629 square feet. When the basements are finished, they have even more living space. Many of the finished basements are walk-out, which is a great feature.
These colonials are on between 0.35 and 1.29 acres of property. The homes have 4, 5 and 6 bedrooms and between 2.5 and 3.5 bathrooms. They have fireplaces to enjoy on those cold winter days and nights and 2 car garages.
Commuting to NYC from this development is very convenient. The railroad leaves from Tuxedo and also from Suffern, New York, where there is an express line available. The train takes you to Hoboken or Secaucus, New Jersey, and takes about 45 minutes to get there. From that point, it is a short ride on the PATH train, into either lower or midtown Manhattan, on the west side.
There are also many buses leaving from Suffern, New York to go in to the Port Authority on 41st and 8th Avenue, in Manhattan, and Suffern is only 15 minutes from The Woodlands.
Other easy transportation is available by car - Route 287, Route 17, and the NYS Thruway are all convenient to The Woodlands.
