Moosilauke Brook and Lost River join just above Indian Leap - A/K/A Agassiz Basin, the rocks are decidedly 
prehistoric in feel, the wear of time has cut a serious chasm in the hard Granite ledge .The waterways have carved this deep cavern with 30 foot or more drops from the ledge to the water below. Keep an eye on the little ones when you visit these smooth stones can be dangerous. This site is about 2 miles from the intersection of Rte 3 and Rte 112...Lost river road...is The Kancamagus highway until it reaches the village of Woodstock New Hampshire...where it is renamed Lost River Road.
The narrow chasm is not far across but what a drop....young braves were tested here , I used the bridge.
It would not be fun to fall from here...the view is worth the risk of visiting the edge for a picture.
Lost river road...pull in at the seasonal site of Govoni's restaurant for the best parking spot.
