Hey there, everyone -- I'm a new kid here, and Chris Griffith has taggedme for a meme, so here goes:
FIVE THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT ME
(there are probably a lot more than five things at this point, but let's shoot for the interesting ones)
1. I double-majored in English and Mandarin Chinese at the college of William and Mary and did my Junior year at Beijing Language and Culture Institute. Sadly, my Chinese is not good enough for me to be a bilingual agent (much to my broker's disappointment), but I had a nifty time in Beijing and dubbed voices for a martial arts movie while I was there.
2. I have an adorable two year old son who is the absolute center of my universe. My husband is a stay at home dad (former Marine/Homeland Security goon/warehouse worker/strip club bouncer/general tough guy) and they have a blast while I am out showing houses. Sometimes I come home to a house that looks like a pack of wild dingoes have invaded, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
3. I got my real estate license in March and have completed four transactions so far as a buyer's agent. I currently have three listings and one co-listing. I just went to the Hobbs Herder Gateway in DC last week with my broker and two of the other agents in my office and I am totally rah-rah about HH now. They rock!
4. In one of my many past lives, I was a belly dancer -- the mentioning of which brought me to be tagged for this meme. In another past life, I was an author and published two memoirs. The first one, about (you guessed it) belly dancing, was optioned by United Artists but the completed script got shelved during the MGM takeover, and there it languishes to this day.
5. I have been an active (okay, obsessive) blogger on Livejournal since 2000 and have never done the five things meme, even though I have been tagged countless times. It's because you guys are special.
