Real Estate Success 101, Strategic Partnerships

I can't stress enough the importance of "Strategic Partnerships" for building a successful real estate business.  I must admit I didn't embrace this wisdom early in my real estate career, my ego was too big for that, but in the last couple of years as consumer behavior changed and I have matured, I'm a late bloomer.

The real estate business has made a huge shift.  A book that really nails this change is Gary Keller's Book "Shift" if you haven' t read it you should.  For this reason I'm in the process of looking to the future of real estate marketing and attempting to stay ahead of the curve instead of waiting for something to happen.  Ok I'm getting off track here ADD kicking in.

Strategic Partnerships...What are they?  How do we build these partnerships?  Who do we partner with?  All very good questions.

I believe the market place has shifted to a blend of word of mouth, personal contact, referral, technology, service market.

Strategic partnerships are your on the street "Cheerleaders" and likewise for you.  This is just one of the legs for building your business and I believe this applies to any business not just the Real Estate Business in Fort Worth.  These people who are trust worthy, competent in their industry, forward thinking and serious about their relationship building.  Don't partner up with people who never get out of the house or are life suckers.  Don't partner with people you feel sorry for or partner with them just because they are a friend.

How do we build these partnerships?  You get out of the house.  You attend networking functions and go with intent on collecting as many cards as you can.  You don't go to pass out cards you are a collector of cards and interviewer, go with purpose.  Ask yourself.  How can I help this person?  How can this person help me?  Is this person trust worthy?  You network and interview everywhere you go..the grocery store, the dry cleaners, the plumber that comes to fix the toilet, the farrier, the cab driver, the yard guy.

ABN..."Always Be Networking" .

In had the pleasure of forming two great partnerships last week from our networking group the "Cowtown Netweavers", held every Wednesday morning at the famous Ol' South Pancake House on University in Fort Worth.

Nathan Farkas and Blair Warner both exceptional gentlemen in their fields.  Nathan is a loan Officer with Global Lending Solutions and Blair, has an extensive background in the mortgage business now has a Legitimate and successful Credit Repair and counseling business, "Upgrade My Credit".

For me this is just a start of my Partnerships that I'll form in the future.  You should do the same.

For home financing or to see if qualify for a home loan please check either or both of these guys.  I give  my word, you won't be sorry.

Happy Trails,

DK

Love it! Great advice on handshaking, Donnie.  By the way, I googled Reata Realty in a dash after reseeing the movie "Giant" earlier this year. I knew someone had to have taken it. Nice to put a face to the name. Half expected to find a Jett Rink, though...
