The Riverside Lake Livingston Area Chamber of Commerce and the Riverside Area Lions Club will host the annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 18th, 2010 at 12 noon. There is no charge for you to enter the parade.
Santa will be there with toys!
Some of last years participants were:
The Riverside Area Lions Club
Riverside Bank
Even Smokey the Bear came!
Volunteers from the Walker County Citizens on Patrol helped control traffic and the Walker County Sheriff’s Department even stopped traffic on State Highway 19 to allow us to pass safely. Children lined up along the parade route and gathered up candy that was being thrown to them.
The Riverside Christmas Parade route begins at Riverside Baptist Church and heads east on FM 980 to right on Front Street (just before the railroad tracks). Continue on Front street to right on State Highway 19 pass in front of Papa Keith’s, Talents and Samco (Exxon) and make a right on FM 980 again. The parade will end at the Riverside Volunteer Fire Department where the Riverside Lake Area Chamber of Commerce will be waiting to serve you hot dogs and lemonade.
Santa will be there...
handing out gifts to all of the children!
