Clarksburg Tax District is Terminated - Clarksburg, Maryland 20871
Last week the Montgomery County Council voted to end the special tax district for Clarksburg, which had been a contentious issue in the community. It had been intended to fund infrastructure work in Clarksburg, but the County had never collected the tax.
Newlands, the developer of Clarksburg Town Center was a supporter of the tax, and many residents had opposed it.
