Leah:  Welcome to Blogging !   Very, very nice.  And... a very good first blog post, as well.  The bottom limit for blog posts on Active Rain is fifty words.  I counted yours... you have forty-seven.  So... if you could expand on the description a bit... you will have your fifty-plus words... and get credit for the post.

Also... if you don't mind, here is a tutorial that I wrote about the Active Rain Groups.  Using the Active Rain "Groups Feature."  Most folks who have read it found it very useful.

I don't know if you have looked at any of the Active Rain groups, or even if you know what they are.  The tutorial will suggest you go over to my profile page, and click on the word Groups along the left side of the page.  You will get a drop-down of a whole slew of Groups... just for an example.  If you join a group... it does NOT obligate you to even a teeny tiny thing.  It just gives you a common-interest place to "include" each of your posts in when you write them, and then hit the submit button.

Please give the tutorial a look, and please feel free to ask my anything you wish.  Why am I offering to help ?  Simply cuz I remember how lost I was when I first joined Active Rain.  Some nice folks helped me... so I am just "passing it on."

Leah, I am guessing by the wording in comment #2 that it was you making the comment.  Your name does not appear at the bottom... like mine does... prolly because you were not "signed in."

Look up at the top right corner... about an inch above your picture... and see what it says.  My guess is that you logged out after you wrote the post, and did not log back in when you made the comment.  Just trying to help, here.

Leah:  I left a long comment back to you on my "Groups" tutorial post.  But here... as far as groups to join... go to Emily's profile page... and click on her "groups" link on the left side.  Scroll down HER list... and click on anything that sounds like it might interest you.  If so... click on join group... and that group will automatically be added to your own groups list.

Try that... and see if that helps you with groups to join.  Then, ask me whatever you need to.  Take care... and have a Great Thanksgiving.
