The Columbia Museum of Art presents 4 workshops for kids.  Allow your children a day of their winter break learning something excitingly fun and new. Art Express Holiday Express:  Celebrate the winter solstice! Children tour the galleries looking for works of art that tell a winter story and create works of art based on the idea of light.  Of Gods and Goddesses: This workshop, based on the wildly popular Percy Jackson series, takes students into the galleries for readings and discussions about the book series. In the studios, students create a comic strip based on Greek Mythology. Cookies, Cakes and Candy Oh My!: Learn the art of baking and candy making just in time for the holidays! Students make and decorate treats from scratch. Students leave with a basketful of goodies to share. Sew Handmade: Become a true artisan by creating unique hand-sewn works of art. This workshop focuses on textiles and the art of sewing and design. Students learn different types of stitches and sewing techniques.  Age group limitations:
