When I think of Christmas day meal I can't help but think of the meals that they average American has; Turkey, Ham, Sweet Potatoes, String Bean Casserole, Dressing and Cranberry Sauce.

At our house, we decided that the traditional boring Turkey meal was enough for Thanksgiving so our family decided on having an Italian meal.

Our Christmas meal consists of such things like Baked Zitti, Italians Sausage, Shrimp Fetticini, Crawfish Marinara, Italian Salad, Garlic Bread, Cannoli and things of this nature.

So my question to you is - What is your Traditional Christmas meal ?

Pretty traditional for us Robert.  We had Ham, Turkey, Stuffing, Candied Yams (sweet potato casserole), brocoli, corn, rolls, croissants, gravy, cranberries, mashed potatoes, and mac/cheese. Afterwards we had apple, pumpkin, and key lime pies.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!  Many Blessings as 2011 rolls in!

Filet mignon with Madeira wine sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, succotash, oyster stuffing, pineapple casserole,  cauliflower with cheese sauce.  Dessert is usually home made cookies, pecan, pumpkin and apple pies.

We've been having that for a long, long time.  I was unable to get home this year, however, my friend and colleague invited me over for dinner and she made a delicious filet mignon too! :-)

Have a great 2011!

Christmas meal means, smoked spiral ham, yams, polish sausage in natural casing, sour kraut, perogi and green bean casserole! Now it's nibbling on left overs! Merry Christmas

This year is was slow cooked pork butt roast.

Browned it in bacon fat, then into a pot with a little brown sugar and 5 or 6 garlic cloves. 1 hour atb 350 covered, and 4 hours at 275.

For vegetables its potatoes, carrots, onions, 3 or 4 jalapenos sliced, some celery and an apple all sliced up.

Drain the whole thing, skim the fat and make gravy.

WOW~

even the teenagers came back for seconds.
