It's a gift to make your local area come alive.  This is one such gift that Tish provides for us here in the rain.  I've been to Wilmington only once, and I have seeinig the area through Tish's eyes is truly wonderful.  It makes me want to visit Wilmington and Wrightsville.  You can tell she really knows her area, market and enjoys the area.

I especially, enjoy living in the Twin Beaches in Southern Maryland.  One of my goals this year is to post local pictures and help our area come alive, too.  We have so much to offer, so close to DC and I think it's important to get the word out.

I like what Tish does and she is always bringing her area to life for me.  I would not hesitate for an instance to refer a client her way.   Thank you for the wonderful posts.  And, thank your CA (Cinnamon, too); she is a chip off the "old block"; just an expression.

If you haven't yet had an opportunity to follow Tish Lloyd or Cinnamon Wright's blog posts (mother and daughter) I promise you won't be disappointed. :) Gai

Local Jeweler loses bet -- to the tune of $400,000!

Picture of jewelry

Local Jeweler, Alan Perry, has lost the bet he made with consumers back in November.  Mr. Perry, owner of Perry's Emporium in Wilmington, NC made this promise, "If it snows in Asheville on Christmas Day, your purchase is absolutely free!"

Asheville, NC had a blanket of more than 6 inches of snow by 5pm on Christmas Day!  There are some pretty happy consumers in Wilmington, NC this year!

The offer ran from November 25 ~ December 11 and Mr. Perry reports that more than 300 people took advantage of his offer and purchased jewelry.  He did purchase an insurance policy, just in case!, and he estimates he will have to pay back upwards of $400,000.

Mr. Perry isn't sure if he'll run the contest next year.  You can bet that if he does, there will be more than 300 people in line to take a chance on free jewelry!  Including yours truly!

Nice of you to reblog Tish's post.  And, I have read some of her other posts.  She sounds like a terrific broker.  I enjoy reading you both.  Happy New Year!

This is a perfect way to increase business and get terrific publicity. Wonder if the insurance company will cover them again..

Thanks for the reblog.
