Hi Leigh, Well is there a blog site for just ReMax agents that i should be on, any conventions etc.... that i should be sure not to miss any referrals techniques I know alot of this info i can find out from broker but I am 2years in sales and they were with a very small new company with no franchise at all so this is a whole new big world to me out there with all the technology ReMax has.

Maureen, you will enjoy all RE/MAX has to offer. Once you have your log on to Main Street at remax.net, it has all the information you will ever need. Streaming videos.. classes, web agents all ove the world profiles, conventions, listing presentations, logo's, you name it.

Do you have your log on yet ? Once you are there set up your profile. Did your broker buy your web site or do the agents have to do it? Our Mi Region bought it for us. That is where you get leads and pay no referrals fees. It is called Lead Street. Remax.net is the intranet for all RE/MAX agents.

Email me off line here if you need any help. Missy@MissyCaulk.com

75% of my clients are Re/Max agents.  It's important to know the following:

With Re/Max you are provided with Leadstreet - their lead generating system provided from remax.com - it works on a round robin affect (basically your turn for the next lead will come eventually), some leads are good, some are junk, its important to note that when the lead comes in, you usually only have a few hours to respond, before the lead is passed to another agent, so remember to JUMP on it when the email comes.

Make sure your remax.net profile is filled out completely, with email addresses, web addresses, bio profile, photos etc....FILL IT OUT  people see this profile when on leadstreet, plus when other remax agents search for agents, you want them to see a full profile.

Update your website, if you don't have a website, then get one - contact us for support on what to buy. We are also custom website builders.

The Re/Max convention is a great one to go to, I went to one about 2 years ago.  The NAR convention is also great - I attended the one in San Francisco in Oct. 05....these are must attends--so much information.

This is all I can think of that would be relative to Re/Max.  Hope it helps.  If you need assistance with Leadsteet or Mainstreet (remax.net)  let me know, we setup profiles on their all the time.  We are a full service marketing & IT company servicing only the real estate industry.  www.defpc.net

Best of luck, David

Missy
thank you so much. Yes our broker provides the Remax website and leadstreet I was playing around with the design center trying to do a virtual tour and half way thru my computer went to la la land so now i need to start again. I figure the more i play around the better it will be.  I also understand that the referral system can be good. I actually have a couple of clients here from Michigan (ok dont ask me where cause i forget i met then here in Hilton Head) but i am from long island and trying to tap into that market as there coming here in droves. I will keep your email and thank you for your help

HI David and thank you also for your advise. I do have a website that i am just in the final stages it is nothing big its clean and simple and i have it linked to my remax one if you want to check it out its maureenhouston.com

So i hope i am somewhat on my way

You asked about a blog site for Remax agent... not sure of one outside of AR, but there is a Re/Max group within AR.

Also, you need to check with your broker to see how he has Leadstreet set up for your office.  In my office, you do not have hours to respond to a lead; you have merely a couple of seconds or someone else has it.  He did this because too many leads weren't responded to in a timely fashion so now the leads go out to the entire office and the first one who "accepts" the lead, wins!  You must be sitting at your computer ready and the text messages come through quicker than the email notifications.

Other than that, Re/Max is just a name and you should run your business the way you want to run it.

Donna thanks i found the group. I think we have 4hrs on a hot lead and 8 on a warm or something like that. there talking about changing it to 2hrs on a hot lead. I added text messaging to my phone so they can text but do you have to set it up? i suppose i could ask our office manager

Jim Thank you so far i am impressed with all the technology in place since i came from a place that had none
