Boise North End Home - Incredible Location!
One sparkling facet of the Boise Idaho real estate market is the Boise North End neighborhood, just a couple of miles from the tree-lined, riverside city center. This quaint neighborhood lined with blocks of vintage cottages was Boise's first suburb that was built in 1878. The area grew quickly with well-built homes on small lots within a convenient grid layout that facilitated walking, neighborly interactions, and a trolley system to downtown Boise for easy shopping. Also like many such communities, time and a penchant among new buyers for bigger, more suburban homes began to catch up to North End in the 1950s. While most people looked on the town's outskirts for larger lots, North End homes sold in 1960 for around a mere $10,000.
Times have changed and now after extensive redevelopment that started in the late 1970's, the Boise Northend neighborhood now defines location, location location! Near the vibrant downtown area and with close access to the foothills for biking and hiking this area has something to offer everybody!
