Own Your Brand - Think about your sphere of influence!

By
Real Estate Agent with Boston Brokerage Group

Real estate agents seem to sometimes forget that, no matter what company they are affiliated with, they still manage their own identity. Or at least they should! Just like companies, each person can make their own pitch or target by thinking about who they are and who they want to attract.

Some examples:

Do you play hockey and like to interact with others who do? Think about your sphere of influence and how you can work with teammates, coaches, etc.

or do your kids love theatre and give you the opportunity to meet with like minded parents who may want to buy/sell/rent?

Think about the people around you doing the things you like to do. Who is easier to connect with?!

Hi Gregory - Really good tips for remembering that our spheres of influence are a lot wider than we think they are.

Very well said, Gregory. Sometimes, people do not like company you are working for, but they like you. It's your business, not your company's.

Good points on SOI.  I saw on facebook where a friend is having a musical gig tomorrow night. I've already made a note to post on my facebook tomorrow telling everyone about it and how good he is.  I know he will love it and think, "damn, this guy is really helping me out".  So when I come to him telling him I just joined a  new firm and am looking for people who are thinking about buying and selling, he will be ecstatic to help me.

So when a 53 year old catcher is still palying baseball and playing in Cooperstown this year, I should use that angle, Greg? Nice, very nice!

Daughter a senior at BC - love your town!

Thanks for the post!
