The Washoe County Senior Law Project is holding FREE seminars concerning home preservation for our Reno and Sparks senior home owners this month.
The seminars are open to the general public on the following dates:
For basic foreclosure information:
Saturday - February 5, 2011 ~ 9:00am to 12:00pm
Wednesday - February 9, 2011 ~ 4:00.m to 6:30pm
Located at the Reno Senior Center~ 1155 E. 9th Street, Reno, Nevada, this is a general information seminar is for seniors who are concerned about the foreclosure process and what options are available to homeowners.
For Nevada Foreclosure Mediation Preparation:
Saturday- February 26, 2011 ~ 9:00am to 12:00pm
Thursday - February 17, 2011 ~ 4:00pm to 6:30pm
Nevada passed a law that entitles homeowners to mediation prior to foreclosure. This seminar is for homeowners who have received a Notice of Default and would like further information regarding the mediation process. Expect to get information that will help you understand the mediation process and what information is required prior to mediation.
This seminar is being held at the Reno Senior Center located at 1155 E 9th Street in Reno, NV 89512.
The Senior Law Project is a non-profit law firm operated by theWashoe County Department of Senior Services. The firm offers legal services, at no charge, to Washoe County residents who are 60 years and over.
The Foreclosure / Home Prevention Seminars are free and are open to everyone in the Northern Nevada community. The Senior Law Project law firm is asking home owners to bring their latest mortgage statements and a simple budget / financial sheet to the workshop.
