Do you track your marketing efforts?

Do you know the key metrics of your website that will drive success?

Many people are asking about the ROI of social media and inbound marketing.

How do you know it works?

How do you know where the business is coming from?

It all seems pretty randomWell, anything is random if you don't know how to make sense out of it. One of the key measuring tools I use is Google Analytics.

If you are going to do anything with inbound marketing and your are going to invest any more or time into your website or blog, you MUST have some analytics tracking software installed. I feel Google Analytics will work for 95% of real estate agents out there. It's free. It's easy to install if you have a wordpress.org site.

hi jennifer thanks for the reminder, keep forgetting to work Google Analytics in to the weekly tracking,

we do use our web providers stuff, as well as lead tracking once people are in the system.

Jennifer - Because I'm not the kind of MLO with a bunch of minion assistants running around running my business nor do I have deep pockets and unlimited funds to maintain a huge marketing budget, it is absolutely vital that I monitor and track my marketing time, efforts and dollars.

However, because I'm not some huge machine that operates with a lot of high tech systems, I also need to keep my monitoring systems simple yet accurate.  So, on that note, I track my marketing in two ways: 1) the number of leads I am getting from a particular marketing campaign and 2) the number of closed sales from those leads.

I know, it's pretty simple and low tech but it works and it's accurate.

Jennifer - I too don't have assistants running around nor a large marketing budget~ so I completely understand. My friends kid told me about it and within 5 minutes the 15 year old has me set up on Google Analytics (for FREE) and has it linked to each of my websites/blogs. I swear it's painless!

I like to impliment systems such as Google Analytics that are automated. That way I can focus on production and not the paperwork!

Ladies enjoy your day. I'd love to get to CA and check out your market sometime!
