Texas Foreclosure Process Part 6, what happens after the foreclosure sale

After foreclosure.

Unlike a foreclosure for nonpayment of property taxes the borrower has no right to redeem the property foreclosed under a deed of trust.

If the borrower remains in the property after the sale, the new property owner may file an eviction to force the removal of the borrower.

The county constable's office will serve the eviction notice which will include a court date.

After the court hearing and a ruling by a judge, the constable's office will post notice giving the borrower 24 hours to vacate the home.  If the borrower fails to obey the notice the constable will return, remove the occupant and place their personal property outside the house.

Hi Richard... I have witnessed an eviction and the removal of personal property... it is not a pretty scene!
