"WHERE is my SUNDAY paper?!"
loudly demanded to know where her Sunday edition was. The Sunday paper is not delivered until tomorrow, on SUNDAY". followed by a ray of recognition as she was heard to mutter, "Well, sh*#, that explains why no one was at church today."
The irate customer calling the newspaper office,
"Madam", said the newspaper employee, "today is Saturday.

Peg, I've been to a few church services where I was starting to wonder if I had the correct day. The Pastor and Organist always joked about how people always came either on the money or 5 minutes late. That was when I was a Methodist. Now at the Lutheran Church people are 1/2 hour early to get a cup of coffee and a cookie. I can tell you both Methodists and Lutherans love the furthest back pews.
Bob, I guess people think God won't care if they're late as long as they get there. And what a bonus if there's cookies!
Sad to say, I'm at the age where every day seems the same.............I have to look at the calendar to know if I have to go to work or not.................scary! Loved the joke.
Roger, I am exactly the same way! I have a daytimer that shows one week at a time and 8-12 hours per day and I'm usually looking at the column and never knowing what day it actually is... Really embarrassing when a client wants to write a cheque and they ask you for the date! I always have to open my daytimer and look!
