Today Little One had to go to the optometrist. I couldn’t believe the array of technical equipment used to measure every facet of her eyes and vision. (I was thankful yet again that my husband has good insurance!)
As a curious person, I wanted to see everything for myself. They were so sweet to put up with me. It was one of the simplest things that really got to me.
They asked Little One to read letters with one eye covered. Then they asked her to cover her other eye with a little paddle that had holes drilled into it. When she looked through the holes, she could read much further than she could normally.
I don’t wear glasses or contacts, so what may be really ordinary for some of you who do was AMAZING to me. Why could she see better looking through the little holes???
Apparently, looking through the little holes focused the light on the back of her eyes, enabling her to see more clearly.
Oh yes, I smiled at Little One and said the phrase she hears all too often, “There’s a blog in that!” <Eye roll from Little One.>
But just think about that – she could see better when she could see less.
That is HUGE. What if you concentrated on the most important parts of your business and quit letting the time wasters get in your way?
What if you could tune out the things that really didn’t matter?
What if, when you were off work, you allowed yourself to really let work go?
How much better would you be at EVERYTHING?
