Hand Woven Hand Towels As Closing Gifts - One Way to Hang Around After Closings
We give Closing Gifts as gestures of appreciation to clients who choose us to be their guides on their journey of buying and selling real estate. Since we deal mostly with residential sales they are places where there is a need for hand towels as in a bathroom or in a kitchen.
Weaving is part of my life and I continue to make hand towels since they are relatively easy to make and I can manage to produce finished projects in between our busy schedules in real estate.
I started to give hand towels as closing gifts just to see what would happen and sure enough this gift is well received and used by past clients. Often when visiting a past client for the first time after a sale I will see my hand towel hanging in the kitchen and then this client will bring up the hand towel in conversation. Even if the towel was not brought up in conversation by a past client, on some level just knowing that they are using it lets me know that we are still hanging around in their minds long after the closing date.
I usually give hand towels that are neutral in color to ensure that the towel can go with most color schemes in a client's home.
Most people appreciate things that are made by hand and this seems to be a gift that helps to keep the memory of our relationship with our past clients alive and hanging around.

Congratulations for coming up with such a unique idea. I give birdhouses because one of my friends makes them...and great idea for an AMERICAN-MADE product.
You have a unique touch, and I am sure your clients appreciate you.
I LOVE this idea Gloria, but I'd never let anyone use them - I'd keep them where everyone could see them, but I be darned if I'd let someone in my home pick up a dirty pot and stain them - they are way to beautiful and special! Love them!
That's a pretty unique gift Gloria. And definitely a great way to make sure you "hang around" after the sale!
Hand woven towels are a wonderful gift. I'm like Kristine in that I would want to use them for display.

Just stopping by to wish you a great day!

Suzanne, I like the birdhouse idea. Great way to support your friends creativity. Thanks for your feedback.
Kristine, I've had other people say that to me too, so I end up giving them a few more so they will use at least one. Thanks.
Craig, Thanks. I've enjoyed giving these things for years now. I'm always amazed at how people respond. It's a fun thing for me.
Roy, Thanks for your nice comments! Thanks for the flowers!
Thanks all for stopping by!

Hi Gloria - What a great gift. You dry your hands so many times a day, and you think about your Realtor as you do! Making them is probably such a great way for you to unwind after a busy day, too!
Wonderful to have this kind of talent and share it with your clients.
Margaret
That is amazing. You are talented. How long does it take to make a towel.? I wish I could take lessons somewhere.
