VCU Rams Basketball Shows It Belongs After Earning NCAA Final Four Bid

Anyone who says that they had VCU in the Final Four of their bracket is a liar. I don't even think Shaka Smart's mom had the Rams getting past the second round. But that's why they play the games right?

I think you have to be impressed with the run that VCU has gone on to get to the Final Four. The NCAA Selection Committee got a lot of flack for putting the Rams in the tournament but their pick has been validated ten times over for their journey to Houston.

Not many people gave VCU even a puncher's chance against Kansas but Smart believed in his team and they rewarded him for it.

I don't think anyone was expecting the barrage of three pointers that propelled the Rams to an 18 point lead in the first half. Obviously Kansas did their best to come back and they almost were able to climb the mountain all the way back but after failing to come all the way back I think that took a lot out of the Jayhawks.

I am really excited to see the matchup between Butler and VCU now. Two teams that no one thought would be here but somehow look like they really belong with the big boys.

If the Rams play anything like they did against Kansas you have to like their chances.
