First-time homebuyers program - PG Co., MD

Prince Georges County has brought another great program to the area for first time homebuyers to help with downpayment and closing costs assistance in the purchase of any home in PG Co.

Requirements:

- Can not be a homeowner over the past 3 years anywhere in the US

- Income requirements must be met

- 8 hr. housing counceling course

- Home must be primary resident for entire term of loan

- Work with a preferred lender and realtor

 

Prince Georges County has a lot to offer and many great deals in the area. There are plenty of homes to choose from and a wide range of prices to work with.

Robert, no they don't have a "preferred realtor" list, however they prefer working with a realtor who has been through the informational session so agents can write up the contract that will support the program. Like most programs, if not equipped with the correct information there's a big chance of loosing the deal.

As for lenders, they are working with a preferred lender list.
