Fort Worth/Dallas Projects a 6.4 % Growth Rate...

According to a recent CNN/Money Magazine survey... the Fort Worth/Dallas Median Sales Price for area single-family homes is Projected to Rise at a Growth Rate of 6.4 Percent.

One of the things that is fueling this increase is the growth in the Fort Worth/Dallas jobs market.  The amount of available jobs continues to grow at about twice the national average, with many more families relocating to the North Texas area.  People go where the jobs are.  And that means... Fort Worth/Dallas !

Both Fort Worth and Dallas, and many of the surrounding suburbs in the Metroplex are known nationwide for their advanced health-care facilities.  Hospital and Surgical centers abound, and for the "little ones"... Dallas has Children's Medical Center Hospital, and Fort Worth has it's own highly-rated Cook Children's Hospital.

Years ago... there was much "open space" to be seen when driving from the western side of Fort Worth to the far eastern side of Dallas.  Now, the Fort Worth/Dallas area... or the Metroplex... almost seems to be one continuous city when making that same drive.

Fort Worth's next-door neighbor, Arlington, is soon to be the new home of Your Dallas Cowboys.  Construction is brimming at a fast pace, and one can barely imagine the effect all the accompanying construction surroundng the new stadium will have on the local job market.  We just can't wait for the 2011 Super Bowl.  Are we excited ?  You Betcha !

Fort Worth in particular is a high-growth area as far as New Home Construction is concerned.  While Dallas County has very little vacant land and open space available for new home construction, Metropolitan Fort Worth continues to abound with the wide-open-spaces mentioned in the old song... Don't Fence Me In !

Fenced in ?  Not in Fort Worth !

Yes, Fort Worth is really a great place to be.  For some reason, much of the local economy seems to be more active than the comments I continue to see on Fox Noise.  They are so negative.

Hi Donna:  Maybe it is just best that we quit watching and listening to all the negative comments.  They can be so toxic for our attitudes.

Graet news for Dallas! I seen the article and was hoping we would be there. I agree with the negativity - we need to isolate ourselbes somewhat.

Hi Paula:  Actually, much of the business and job development takes place in Fort Worth.  Dallas has never completely recovered from the high-tech crash, or the IT crisis.  The Fort Worth economy is so much more diversified, and therefore much more insulated from any economic downturns.  That is why I always refer to this area either as Fort Worth, or Fort Worth/Dallas.

Also... I honestly think that at some future time, even the population of Fort Worth will surpass that of Dallas.  Gee... can you tell there's a little "competition" here ?  LOL
