A Great Business Tool

A great business tool that keeps me organized is a database management system (DMS).  A database management system is a collection of programs or instructions that enable you to store, modify and extract information from an electronic filing system.   There are many database management systems available.  You might be familiar with Microsoft Outlook which is the personal and business email tool and calendar to help you stay in touch with your contacts.  I used Outlook because it's the first and easiest database I've ever used.  There is also Nesters and Top Producer 8i which are designed for the real estate professional.  Nesters and Top Producer 8i are both great database management systems, but I use Top Producer 8i because of the tracking system is outstanding.  I'm able to stay in touch with my clients and potential clients until they are ready to move.   Below is a list of Top Producer 8i features and this is only some of them:

Lead Generation:  When a lead comes in from my Market Snapshot or website, it goes directly into my top producer database and I'm notified immediately via email on my blackberry.  It's that awesome.

Social Media:  I'm able to connect with my clients on Facebook and Twitter with just a few clicks.

Things to talk about:  When I call my clients, I'm able to access this unique feature built into my top producer database.  It's called "things to talk about."  This feature gives you instant insight into the conditions of the client's immediate neighborhood.

Autopilot:  Each of my clients is placed on a follow up campaign specific to the contact type - buyer, homeowner, sphere of influence, and so on.  A customize action plan can be in the form of letters, emails, and fliers.

Free and Unlimited Technical Support:  The technical support team is very knowledgeable and has great insight.  These guys worked with me until I was set up and understood how the system works.  They also showed me how to integrate and maximize the system. 

I can go on with the many features Top Producer 8i has to offer, but I just wanted to share some of the highlights and features that I use to keep me organized. 

If you have a business whether it's small or large, you need a good database system to manage your contacts and to help your business run more efficiently.  I'm not promoting Top Producer, but I know what works for me and Top Producer is the one.
