The American Dream is in Danger

Growing up, you hear stories involving the American Dream. This dream of freedom and opportunity revolves around settling down and becoming grounded in the roots of this country's history. You may hear your parents talking about this or perhaps family business owners in your neighborhood. Buying a home has always been the essential step taken to finally achieve this dream. However, as the turn of the century has come and gone, you may be left wondering if owning a home is really the American dream or slowly becoming an American nightmare.

If you are living the average American lifestyle, spending and enjoying more than what is necessary, you should consider yourself very lucky to wake up in the morning, head off to work, and endure countless hours of monotonous labor whether you enjoy what you do or not. The truth is, many people are struggling to find money in the job market and this is leading to many problems for homeowners and dream seekers. Dreams that had once come true in buying that perfect home are now becoming worrisome. You may be looking around your neighborhood as you drive by, seeing homes that once held great prestige and value now being let go for a fraction of the price. Seeing these countless homeowners down thousands of dollars could make you think twice about putting your house on the market anytime in the near future.

If the American dream had a sequel, at one time it would have been to turn profit upon your expenses and flourish financially as you age and your children began their journey in life. Today, you may be forced to rethink this optimistic path and start to plan for what could be a very long time before the dream can once again be a happy one.

Profit from my two decades of experience

James-we are seeing this reality happening in virtually every city in the country. Yet, today I did get an email from a young couple who wants to start looking and some friends just made an offer on their retirement home. I do agree with your statement but at the same time I do see a flicker of light. Best.
