As I mentioned earlier, I just love this author... This book was published in 2005 so I am not reading in order but who cares? All good. This book centers around Joe Pike's friend and business partner, Elvis Cole, a private investigator, who receives a call from a detective claiming to have found a dying man in an alley.. whose last words were " I am looking for my son, Elvis Cole." Elvis never knew his father, never met him, never knew his name, and so he finds himself searching out the man's identity, trying to discover whether this man, whose body is covered in tattooed crosses could possibly be the nameless father he never knew... The trail takes him on a torturous trail, and a long one, covering murders that took place many years earlier, missing children, adults.... and all leading back to the real truth.... Suspense, intrigue and always well written. Great book. "The Forgotten Man" by Robert Crais can never be forgotten.
New Rochelle is GREAT!
