Inbound Marketing in San Antonio

The average consumer in San Antonio is hit with over 2000 marketing messages everyday. And we have all gotten pretty good at blocking it out. We have even designed a lot of technology to help us. Caller id, spam blockers, and TiVo are a few of the devices that block out the advertisers.

The question most of you who own business or are trying to sell something will be asking now is what do we do about it? The answer is Inbound Marketing.

Inbound (or Pull) Marketing is the art & science of attracting buyers for your services at the exact time they are looking to buy. In contrast, Outbound (push) marketing tries to convince prospects to buy through messages pushed out regardless of the place someone is in the buying cycle.

Inbound Marketing is like Hunting

There is a close analogy with hunting. Sure you can go out there and traipse around looking for an animal to shoot, but most animals have developed a pretty keen sense to detect your presence. You might get something from time to time. But if you set up you blind near a place that your experience has told you the animal will likely be you've increased your odds. Then if you can do things to entice the animal such as using a call or putting out some feed then you might not need to wait as long. It's the same with inbound marketing. Find the places that your prospects like to be online and offline, then go there and find ways to attract them to you.

I know some of you are thinking that I'm just taking all the fun out of the hunt, but the difference is that this is life or death for your business not recreation. We are trying to be successful and make a living.
