I went searching because I was almost positive someone had already written the instructions.  One of the benefits of Active Rain is that we all share our knowledge...  We make associations because we want to connect and share with different people for a variety of reasons.

With the creation of Groups, people are in a mood to organize their My Home area.   Perhaps that is a good thing, I was speaking to a fellow Active Rain Member last night and they were looking at my profile as we spoke and they said "Hey how did you do that?"

Well it is rather easy, and I don't have time to format photos (sorry Craig -- my BLOG is not properly staged) for this, but basically if you want to add someone to your associates:

1. Go to their More about me page
2. Above their photo is an Add As Associate Icon - click on it
3. Now a screen will come up -- Settings for associate ________
4. If you only have one click on that box, but if you wish to organize your associates like I have there is a box call Create New Group -- this is where you can create your personalized groups
5. Just click on the check box to add, then click on the add/update button at the bottom
6. All done!

Ok now you have an huge group and you want to change someone from one group you created to another.  That is not difficult, all you need to do is the following:

1. Click on the pencil next to the photo of the person you want to modify
2. Create or click on the Group you wish to add them to
3. You are all done! 

If you want to organize a group you can move members up and down using the arrows and if for some reason you want to remove a personal completely there is the trash bin...
