Fonts - what does it say about the way you do business??

By

I've blogged about fonts before (click here to read it!) - but from time to time I like to give my ActiveRainers some support and reminders - what does your font say about you?

I'm a bit of a font snob - my two nemesis fonts? Comic Sans and Papyrus - (for fun, next time you're talking to your graphic designer - mention that you'd like to incorporate either of these - then have fun listening to the awkward silence you'll get on the other end of the phone - CRACKS me up!!)

Today - I have a video featured - which I found from bancomicsans.com (yes - there is a website dedicated to the pure hatred to Comic Sans)

So, a gentle reminder for those of you using it - you may want to reconsider. I understand that it's whimsical and friendly but depending on who's reading it, you may be sending the wrong message..

Enjoy the video - When Bad Fonts Happen to Good People

Nice post Emily. I hope I don't my character doesn't get judged by my font. It's funny what people think we they look at things.

HAH! Comic Sans and Papyrus - the two that came to mind before even opening up your post!  There is a great site out there about fonts that lawyers should use - because fonts DO MATTER a LOT in how our work and our words are perceived.

Emily - I agree - you have to keep in mind your target audience when choosing a font. In business - keep it simple: Times Roman or Ariel. Using Comic Sans or Papyrus is like sending out your resume on pink paper - not good!

Funny that there is a website about not like certain fonts.  Do you watch 'The Middle' - the kid on the show got all involved in computer fonts, he got a little obsessive, funny.
