Stand Apart From the Crowd With FavIcons
OK, this is neat. This goes on the to do list. You get your mug in the bookmarks. Mine will have pups of course. This looks easy to do and fun to have done. I love the tech tips you pick up on Active Rain from bloggers across the country sharing tools and ideas!
In today's competitive real estate market, whatever you can do to make yourself stand apart from the crowd is good, right? Put your name and photo on the marquee with FavIcons. FavIcon simply stands for"Favorite Icons". If you're like me (and lots of other people on the internet), you use bookmarks to tag your favorite websites. The FavIcon is the little photo that shows up right before the URL in your bookmark window. You can add your own little FavIcon to your website to set it apart from any other bookmarked websites your client may have.
FavIcons are very simple to create. One of the sites I think is easiest to use is FavIcon from Pics. You can download a photo and even create an animated FavIcon with just a couple of clicks. Follow their easy-to-use directions and you're on your way to starring as your own bookmark. You can use any photo you want: professional, silly, cartoons, logos, etc. The choice is yours. Whatever you think is going to stand out the most to your real estate clients is best.
Customize your FavIcon with color, borders and text. Add scrolling text to your animated FavIcon to give a brief message to potential clients. Make your icon smaller or larger. You can even make it black and white if you'd like. You also have the ability to make it compatible for use with an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. This simple little program is pretty cool.
Stand apart from the crowd with FavIcon bookmarks. Get your name and photo on the marquee of your clients' web browsing experience. It's like a subliminal whisper in their ear to keep you in mind when they find themselves in need of your real estate services.
