My son asked "Hey dad what do you want to do for father's day" .
I could really use a hand- moving some stuff for a client.
Really on father's day - wouldn't you rather be playing golf?
Sure son but I told an out of state client I could move some stuff out of a place he just purchased.
Why!- if the guy already closed, let him deal (A teen modicum of words)...dude -lets goof off today!!.
The completion of a promise is a requirement not an option, trust is rewarded with loyalty, and future business. Dad do you always have to think this way as an adult...No son, you could have only one interaction with persons that can help you along the way and just leave it at that. But wouldn't that be a bad plan? My son helped me move furniture and appliances on father's day and understands a little more about connections and careers. Thanks for a hand Conor it's not all fun and games...but there is always time for fun and games.
This is the 18th tee box at the Jack O'Lantern Golf course a mile from our home. Thoughtful work allows a life time of play. There is no greater lessons in life, than to under promise and over deliver. I get to see covered bridges everyday, I get to make a difference in people's lives everyday, and my clients trust me to do what I say I'll do...this is a good life. Happy Father's Day.
