What is your MO? Tortoise or The Hare?

A great lesson about client service, discipline, and adaptability. It is so hard to find people dedicated to serving their clients. Being able to adjust your delivery is a primary example of serving, you deliver what the client needs in the fashion that the client needs it.

tortoise and the hareWhat is your MO?  Tortoise or The Hare?

What is your 'mode of operation'?

Slow?

Steady?

Speedy?

And which one really does win the race?

After nearly 19 years in the Real Estate business, I may have a different answer than you.  Heck, I probably have a different answer than I would have had back in 1993 when I was a fresh-faced Realtor-newbie!

Realistically, I believe the answer is both.  In certain situations, such as a multiple-offer experience, speed -- or lack of -- can make or break you.

A request to list a home not met with enthusiasm may cost an agent dearly.  A seller may feel that you lack "oommpphh", as they say.

At other times, negotiations or problem-solving require a slow and steady pace as I mentioned earlier.  Pushing too hard or too fast can push your client right out of the running!  A first-time home buyer typically desires some hand-holding and extra attention in order to feel comfortable before moving forward.

A tortoise can only speed up so far.

The hare may not be able to slow down to compliment his companion.

But a good Realtor can certainly match the pace, stride and the needs of his or her client so everyone wins the race and crosses the finish line with a smile of satisfaction.

(Just remember to lace up those running shoes, Folks!)
