Anybody ready to have their clients pay a 40% down payment on a home if they have difficulty getting a mortgage loan? Read the WSJ article if you have not heard this.
I really to find a list of private investment firms with this kind of financing available. I know of many that have large down payments, just not the credit to buy OR they are self employed and write off most of their income, so they don't show enough on paper to qualify for a loan - but good credit scores.
5% downpayments are just non-refundable security deposits. More homeowners need THEIR SKIN in the game!
