Golf Digest has ranked Park City #17 in the Top Emerging Golf Retirement Regions

Golf Digest's latest edition (December, 2006) has selected Park City as #17 in the Top Emerging Golf Retirement Regions.  Park City is one of only two ski resorts that have this distinction.

The ranking considers the golf courses built since 2000 as well as new planned courses.  This data is then compiled with quality-of- life statistics such as safety, weather (playable golf days), culture, healthcare and airport access.

Baby Boomers are attracted by the mild summers and also by golf courses that are less crowded than in areas such as Palm Springs, Scottsdale and Austin. With our exclusive golf communities of Glenwild, Promontory, and Tuhaye and our fine public courses at Soldier Hollow and Wasatch State Park; Park City is well positioned in the golf marketplace.

Finally a Golf Post; Thanks.

I found an Active Adult Community (55+) that I'll be retiring to in 2 years, it's called The Villages  in Florida and it has 13 golf courses that I can play for life, for free, and 3 Executive courses 2 of which were designed by Nancy Lopez, Arnold Palmer.

PS. From my front lawn, I can take out a 5 Iron and hit a ball onto the 14th fairway.
