When caterpillars attack!

While showing a home in Salishan on the Central Oregon Coast this week, I came upon a very curious sight. Fuzzy looking dirt stuck to the siding. Hmmmm.....

Upon closer inspection, I saw the dirt on this house was moving and crawling about! It was a caterpillar freeway with a couple of offramps at the windowsills!

I want you to know this is an area of very exclusive homes with awesome ocean views, these caterpillars are very comfy and happy with their new home!

I shall now cue the Perry Mason theme song and the following..... "I have nothing further to add your honor!"

Barbara - I have seen homes with infestations of roaches, crickets, and spiders, but never caterpillars! I would MUCH rather have them!

Sharon, I have never seen a caterpillar army on a house like this before either, I do not think they are as scary as other pests, but it did not help me sell the house that day! Thanks for your comment!

Barbara, I haven't seen a caterpillar in a while. We have issues with moths in closed up home but not caterpillars. I think they are rather cute but I probably wouldn't think so if my siding was their highway. --Krystal
