Lend a Paw at the 7th Annual Mutts Marathon at Bergen Community College.
That's right, today only (Sept. 25 '11) from 11am to 4pm, it's the 2011 Mutts Marathon at Bergen Community College.
Mutts Marathon is brought to you by RBARI (Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc.).
RBARI is the leading non-profit no-kill animal shelter in Bergen County. They're dedicated to the welfare of companion animals. RBARI cares for abandoned, abused & unwanted animals and finds them suitable, loving "forever" homes.
In addition to normal food & housing requirements for our furry friends, in many instances there are rehabilitation & medical issues that need attention & care. The costs can easily mount for these needs, so RBARI graciously accepts donations in many forms.

Todays event, the 2011 Mutts Marathon will be a lot of fun for dogs & families!
It's a great day for dogs and the humans that care for them (PLUS a dog walk-a-thon fundraiser for the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc.)!
This is an event not to be missed for pet lovers. Pet owners and animal lovers walk to lend a paw as well as come to see exhibits, demonstrations, special attractions, entertainment, fun, and things for adults and kids to see, do and buy – both human and pet related.
The minimum pledge to participate is $25
& here's the schedule:
- Registration & the fun start at 11 a.m
- Walk starts at 12:15 p.m
- Contests start at 1:45 p.m.. (Largest Dog, Smallest Dog, Best Kisser, Dog/Owner Look-Alike, Best Trick, Worst Trick, Best Costume, and more!
- A $5 fee covers registration for each contest or $10 for all. (The fee is waived for walkers who collect $100 or more in pledges.)
