Tenafly Nature Center is a non-profit member-supported nature preserve protecting almost 400 wooded acres & all its inhabitants…and teaching future generation the importance of doing the same. It’s 52 acres adjoins the 330-acre Lost Brook Preserve.
The Tenafly Nature Center is home to abundant wildlife, including over 50 species of nesting birds, 23 mammals, and 24 types of amphibians & reptiles. Visit the John A. Redfield building, which houses natural history exhibits and live animal displays.
Professional naturalists offer a wide range of interesting programs to school children, scouts, families, and many groups. They host over 500 groups and 12,000 participants annually!
Tenafly Nature Center invites visitors to hike, observe wildlife, bird-watch, cross-country ski, snow-shoe, or ice skate on Pfister’s Pond. There’s so much to do, see, learn and appreciate!
