DocuSign for REALTORS® Free Edition: Full Functionality for Free

Reblogger Sharon Kowitz

DocuSign offers up to 5 envelopes a month,  free now! Well no more excuses I have to learn to use it more proficiently. I admit I am just a bit older than the technoligy generation but I am trying hard to keep up. My partner Carla Freund is great at this stuff so I need to get it in gear for 2012. Come on everyone let's give it a try if you have not given it a shot yet.  Sharon Kowitz, Cary NC of Kowitz & Freund Realty Team.

In late July DocuSign introduced DocuSign for REALTORS® Free Edition. What is DocuSign for REALTORS Free Edition? The Free Edition of our electronic signature product gives you the full functionality of our DocuSign Professional edition for up to five envelopes and unlimited signers per month.

Cost is no longer a reason that you wouldn't use DocuSign Electronic Signatures. If you are doing a couple of deals a month, the new DocuSign for REALTORS® Free Edition will be just enough electronic signature product to help you make your life, and your clients lives easier.

Often times in real estate service is used as a differentiating factor for client satisfaction. Having DocuSign in your tool belt is quickly becoming a baseline level of service that many people expect. In a recent chat with ActiveRain Community Evangelist Bob Stewart, he mentioned that these days, if he has to sign anything he wants it to be easy. "After using DocuSign once, I don't even want to have to connect to a printer, print the documents I need to sign, sign them, scan them back to my computer then email them down the road. Two years ago that would have seemed pretty simple. After using DocuSign when my wife and I bought our house that whole process seems like a major inconvenience. If electronic signatures technology is out there, and it's free, why wouldn't agents be using it?"

Our thoughts exactly Bob.

The DocuSign Professional Edition, which was designed with our real estate clients in mind, has a markup feature that allows for negotiations to take place using DocuSign. No more faxing back and forth until you can't read the contract. Use the markup feature on DocuSign for the fastest and easiest contract negotiations. Of course your clients will still need to agree, but with Docusign it will be easier than ever to facilitate that.

And as always, you can access DocuSign from any device and anywhere with an internet connection. Bob's wife Christa, a REALTOR® in Ann Arbor Michigan just negotiated and got final acceptance on a contract for one of her clients while on the train home from Chicago. Bob joked on the phone with me this week that his "life is like a commercial for DocuSign. With a wife and Mother-in-law in real estate, it's pretty shocking that I haven't seen a fax machine in a couple of years. Do they still make those things?"

We're not sure Bob, but you could probably find one on Craiglist if you need one for target practice.

I am definitely going to try DocuSign.  I have used Digital Ink and have found it to be quite clunky. I am hopeful that DocuSign will be better.

I hope to use Docusign for my out-of-area lease packets next year.  I'm going to get up to speed over the winter and make this a part of my NEW leasing procedure starting 2011
