Texas Rangers - World Series - Dallas Professional Sports Teams
The Rangers are Dallas' Major League Baseball team. They are located in Arlington, TX and have been there since 1972.
In 2010, the Texas Rangers went to the World Series for the first time, and repeated the accomplishment in 2011. The Texas Rangers became the first Texas MLB team to win a World Series game.
Several Hall of Famers have played for the Texas Rangers including Bert Blyleven, Goose Gossage, Whitey Herzog, Ferguson Jenkins, Gaylord Perry, Jon Miller and Nolan Ryan.
The Texas Rangers' mascot is Rangers Captain, a palomino-style horse dressed in the team jersey with the number 72 on it. This number signifies the year the Rangers moved to Texas.
The Rangers' Ballpark is the Texas Rangers' stadium. It was renamed after the team decided that they preferred to brand themselves rather than have a corporate sponsor.
Dallas is proud to have the Texas Rangers as one of its professional sports teams and looks forward to celebrating many more wins.
