Prince William Ice Center Then and Now
In February of 2010 after several heavy snow falls the Prince William Ice Center collapses. From a statement on InsideNova, "The building at 5180 Dale Blvd. is a total loss, owner Bill Hutzler said. Skaters practicing inside had been evacuated before the collapse and no one was injured."
After months of clean up, on a very windy day in November 2010 the community and many elected officials came together for a ground breaking. Bill & Pat Hutzler showed everyone the plans and shared what their vision was for the new Prince William Ice Center. Bill photographed the Prince William Ice Center's construction process.
With the help from the community, elected officials and R.W MURRAY Co. the Prince William Ice Center opened for business ten months later.
On Thursday, October 28, 2011 Bill & Pat hosted a Prince William Chamber of Commerce business after hours. This was the first event to be held in their party room.
I would like to share with you the vision Bill & Pat Hutzler had in creating what is now the state of the art Ice Center.
