It’s been a long time coming but I’m finally making my first post here at Active Rain. I’d like to say hello to everyone, give some brief background about myself and share the reasons I’m interested in being a part of this community of real estate professionals.

I’ve been reading you Active Rain-ers for some time and have always been impressed with your passion, enthusiasm and support given to fellow members. Why I waited months before ‘taking the dive’ I’ll never know, and frankly will never give second thought to my procrastination. I’ll do my best to be an active member here and welcome suggestions and/or advice on how to maximize my Active Rain participation.
Background
I’ve been in sales & marketing my entire adult career – come to think of it, I was probably practicing my sales and negotiating skills quite a bit as a youngster. In order to keep it brief, I’ll list my career path in bullets:
- Customer Service & Sales with a major transportation industry provider
- Production (sales) for an LPGA golf tournament
- Mortgage Broker
- Real Estate Broker
Why I’m Joining Active Rain
As I mentioned earlier, the members of Active Rain have caught my attention for some time – not only for the content you produce, but also for the support and comradely manner of communication. As the owner of a small real estate firm in Davidson, NC (when I say small I mean just me and my wife), and the opportunity to join a group of professionals is very appealing.
Biggest reasons I want to be a part of Active Rain:

- To Grow
- AND to have fun while doing all four
- I’m sure I’ll add to this list
