With the dozens of new useful features debuting on the new iOS5 update and the increased functionality of the wonderful iPhone 4S, I decided to highlight one of my favorite new functions for all of my ActiveRain iFollowers.
In this tutorial I am going to show you how to update and share your To-Do List. This is going to be a great hands-free solution to staying organized on the fly. If you haven't used them yet, shared lists are itemized lists that you can add to, update, and share with others using Apples iCloud.
For this specific tutorial you will need:
-an iPhone 4S
-iCloud accounts for you and everyone you'd like to share the list with
-Tap the icon within the top left of your Reminders app and create a new list called "ToDo List"
(you can also create "Shopping" lists and any other kind of list you decide to be useful)
Now you will go to iCloud.com, click on your Calendar icon, navigate to the left side of your screen and click on the little share icon next to your "Todo List" icon. Add the Apple iCloud email addresses of each person you would like to share your list with.
Now your robot friend Siri is willing to take your demands at will. Simply command Siri to "Add Drop Off Paperwork to ToDo List" and now Siri will add and sync this to your shared ToDo list magically and instantly. Now every user with this shared list will see this in their ToDo list. This is especially helpful when you are sharing your list with an assistant or coworker.
Every time you or your shared synchers check something off on the list, it will show checked off on your list as well. Fancy huh?
Yes there are other todo apps out there, but this is the only Siri-friendly option available so far and I have found it extremely useful. Hope you enjoy!!
WHAT USES WILL YOU FIND FOR THIS GREAT NEW FUNCTION?
