Here in Homer Alaska we have some beautiful moments…
the trees, the ocean and the volcanoes make for great subjects in this category…
I always take time to stop and capture the beautiful Moments!

In 1964 after the earthquake my family travelled to Alaska. We were at Homer when my dad got tired of my sister and I fighting and made us get out of the car and start walking back to Anchorage. He drove ahead a couple of miles and we had to walk until we came to the car. We had walked only a short distance and the road forked. I won the argument over which way to walk and shortly we came upon a man working in his garden. I will always remember asking him if we were on the right road to Anchorage. I was 14 and my sister 11. The man replied, "you are on the right road but it is a long ways to walk." It struck me funny then and still makes me chuckle when I think of that experience some 47 years ago. Homer is truly a lovely part of Alaska. Thanks for sharing the photos. Paul

Hi Debra, Your sunsets as well as wildlife there are always stunning and you are in one of the most beautiful areas in the US. I love all the sunsets and I joined the group as well. Now I just have to do some sorting to put some great representations of our colorful sunsets. :-)
