Happy Thanksgiving, ActiveRain!

 "Thanks for the Memories" was an Academy Award winning song recognized as the best original new song.  Bob Hope made the song even more famous by using it as his signature tune at the end of each of his shows.  Bob Hope candidly would adapt the lyrics to fit any situation.  He made it his!

I'm beginning to feel a lot like Mr. Bob Hope these days!  Mr. Hope found a really good thing and he used it in very different situations and HE always came out a winner!  That is exactly how I feel, I found ActiveRain and I am using it in many many different situations.  Like Bob Hope, I am always coming out a winner here in ActiveRain.   You're mine, ActiveRain!

I came and YOU embraced me, ActiveRain friends, and  you quickly validated me!  I came to this community known as ActiveRain about six weeks before Thanksgiving in 2010.  ActiveRain is a community like no other I have seen before!  I have been amazed, overjoyed, sometimes overwhelmed and pushed almost beyond my belief to embrace Blogging (with a capital B) as part of my daily life, actually it filters through to almost every hour in the day!

Thanks ActiveRain Friends.....because of YOU, I AM a Full Fledged Blogger!  I came to the community without knowing the total concept and was totally unaware of the friendships I would make.  ATTENTION: Newbies, the best is yet to come, hang in there and EXPECT ActiveRain members to exceed your expectations!  It WILL happen! 

Thanks for the encouragement, ActiveRain! My first puny little  post was "featured" and the first seeds of addiction were planted.  I just now went back to link this to my first post and was surprised to remember that my very first post title was "Thanks ActiveRain".  That seems to say it all, doesn't it?  People I did not know actually commented on that post!  WOW, did I feel great!  I didn't know enough to know I was supposed to actually respond to those comments, but I learned and you guys stuck with me.  Thanks ActiveRain members for your early and continued encouragement and for sharing your knowledge with me.

Thanks for all the sweet memories, ActiveRain friends!  Thanks to you have been faithful to comment even when I would produce a post that was not as strong as it could have been.  You understood and never complained, only commenting offering your support.  Thanks for your sense of humor adding joy to each day.  Thanks for the beautiful photographs which have become an inspiration to me as I try to master and refine this thing called Blogging (with a capital B).   

Thanks for the cash, ActiveRain Friends!  Yes, the cash as in dough, the means to eat, work and play!  I sent referrals and you did a good job for the clients and shared the wealth with me.  Thanks!  I have a working referral now from a special ActiveRain friend.  I am working hard on this and hope for the day I can send the cash to that ActiveRain friend.

Thanks for the phone calls, ActiveRain Friends! Your calls added joy and fun to my days putting a voice to your already smiling face in my mind's data base of friends.  Thanks for the snail mail cards!   The cards added a bit of joy to my day!

Thanks for setting the standards high, ActiveRain Friends! You have lead me and taught me by your examples of top writing skills and excellent communication skills via your posts and comments.  I like "positive people" and it is easy for me to meet up with the most positive people in the industry by "clicking" into ActiveRain.  You have sent out great tutorials on learning how to use all the new technology.  I needed help on this, as you may remember, I am a technology lover, but need lots of help actually getting it implemented.  

Thanks again, again and again, ActiveRain friends, you are the best!  When I started this post I was going to mention the names of those of you have made this last year so special for me and I realized I would quickly chase you away because the post would have been way too long - you are all special to me.  

Thanks ActiveRain Staff Members!  You have always been  supportive and understand even when it is "operator error"! :-).  I love the contests in which you push us not so gently into learning new things, paying attention to detail and have lots of fun in the process.  

Thanks ActiveRain, I will end by saying it again staight from my heart....Thanks for the memories!  I will remember you in my Thanksgiving prayers and am thankful for the rich blessings  of your friendships.  Enjoy your day at your Thanksgiving table.  God Bless You All!
