Welcome to the attached townhouse complex on Hillside Avenue and Overlook Road in West Haverstraw, New York.
This townhouse complex was built in 1965. It consists of two level attached townhouses which are considered single family homes and therefore there are no monthly homeowner fees.
The units are spacious and they have 3 bedrooms to 4 bedrooms and 1.5 to 2.0 bathrooms. The square footage of these townhomes ranges from 1440 square feet to 1688 square feet.
Some of these townhomes have 1 car garages and ample parking in front of them. Others have large private driveways in front of them, with room for at least 2 cars.
Entry into the townhomes is easy since there are no steps to climb to enter the first floor, which is where the kitchen is located. This makes it convenient to bring groceries into the kitchen since there are no stairs to climb.
The first level of these units has an eat-in-kitchen, a living room/dining room combination and a half bath. The laundry room is on this level, too. Sliders lead either from the kitchen or the living room, to a patio and a private backyard. In the picture below, you can see the patio on the side of this end unit.
The second level has a large master bedroom and two or three other bedrooms and one full bath. Some of the master bedrooms have balconies, as you can see from the picture below.
Residents of this complex are close to transportation, shopping, restaurants.
West Haverstraw is on the eastern side of Rockland County and is close to Routes 9W and 202. It is a short trip on Route 9W to the NYS thruway (I-87), which leads east to the Tappan Zee bridge to Westchester and Connecticut, or west to I-287 and New Jersey. The Palisades Interstate Parkway (PIP) and the Garden State Parkway are also located nearby. There are many commuter options available when living in West Haverstraw as well, including a ferry that goes from Haverstraw, NY to Ossining, NY where you can take the railroad into New York City.
Townhome owners can make use of all the facilities available to people who live in Haverstraw, including the beautiful Bowline Point Park with its magnificent pools and views of the Hudson River.
As a pet lover I am happy to say that pets are allowed!
At the time of the writing of this article there are 4 townhomes on the market. One is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse listed at $189,000. Two are 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath townhouses, on the market for $199,000 and $241,500 respectively. The one listed at $241,500 is a 1688 square foot home. The last one is a 4 bedroom, 1.5 bath townhouse being offered at $219,000.
Since January 1, 2011, one townhome sold in this development for $207,500. It sold on January 27, 2011.
