Rack's Sports Bar & Grille - 272 St. John Street, Portland will host Portland, Maine's only All Night New Years Eve Party December 31, 2011. This 21+ event will begin at 9PM and last until 5AM. Yes, that's right 5AM. Please note that doors will close at 2AM and the bar will close at 2AM). According to their flyer, Bone Fish states that "you need to be here by 2 a.m. to dance & play pool after hours until 5a.m". The event will feature "some damn fine DJ's dropping Electronic Dance music" including: Elusid, Nocturnal, Psydways, RahJahh, Silverchild, Skittlez, V1rus, CheRos, & Don Dami. Portland Pirates Hockey Game
On New Years Eve the Portland Pirates will once again celebrate the entrance into a new year with their 17th annual Kid's New Year's Celebration. Saturday Night is Hockey Night in Portland and on Saturday, December 31, 2011, Bud Light will sponsor the promotional event as the Pirates take to the ice against the Worcester Sharks. TheNew Years Eve game is usually a sell out, as their is a fireworks display at the conclusion of the game that is deemed "New England's largest indoor fireworks display. Bob Marley Holiday Comedy Shows
From December 29th through December 31st, Comedian Bob Marley will be performing at Merrill Auditorium in Portland, Maine.
