Don't Watch Where You Are Walking ~ Speechless Sunday

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with MoonDancer Realty, Dillsboro,NC NC# 218097

It takes some practice to not watch where you are walking, but if you get the hang of it you’ll probably see things you might have otherwise missed!

Hot Springs, NC is a place I’ve wanted to check out ever since I moved here but have never made the time. Today, I drove out there to meet a client who has made an offer on a property there. While wandering the grounds I looked up to see the coolest weather vane on the top of the barn. If you’ve been following my blog over the last couple of weeks, you’ll understand why I was so taken with the whimsy of this particular weather vane.

There’s just something about a black cat and if I’d been watching where I was walking, I’d have missed this one.

Happy New Year everyone!

Hello, my friend.  Wind and black cats ~ good combination. :)  Hope your new year is wonderful.  I'm not about resolutions, just about refocusing.

Hi Andrea, isn't that one of the cutest weather vanes you've ever seen?  Did you notice the little mice on it?

Hello Rugg Realty, it can't always be about the destination. We all need to leave some room for the journey as well.  Happy New Year to you.

Mimi, our New Year will be fabulous.  Look how we've been enriched already with new friends and new skills thanks to AR.  Refocusing is good...keeps our vision in shape   ;-)

That is so nice of you to say that Karen.  I've never seen a cat weather vane before.  It is really something to see this at this particular time.

Hi Allen, and the little mice are right cute too.  I did think this cat vane was an omen, a good omen.

There is something special about weather vanes, which always seem to hold my attraction.  When I was a kid, I had relatives on farms, which had them.  An uncle with a horse on his, and another with a rooster.  I've not seen one with a cat on top. . .I like it very much!

Myrl, I always love to see the really old weather vanes in antique shops too.  I had never seen a cat before either but I sure did like it.
